Scottish Book Trust Awards

Since 2017, I’ve had the ongoing pleasure of creating bespoke trophies for the Scottish Book Trust’s Learning Professional Award and Bookbug Hero Award. These annual commissions have become a joyful tradition in my practice—an opportunity to design something playful, colourful, and celebratory that honours the incredible work of educators, librarians, and early years practitioners across Scotland. Each trophy is handcrafted in the form of a small house, with elements made from book pages—symbolising stories at the heart of learning and community. Over the years, as these houses have been awarded and gathered, they’ve formed a miniature village: a tribute to the collective effort of those nurturing a love of reading across the country.
